Static Parameters

AmiBroker chart parameters are entirely separate from the automatic analysis parameters. As a result chart signals might not match exploration results. Therefore, most PatternExplorer tools include two additional parameters for receiving chart parameter values in the automatic analysis window. These parameters are shown only in the automatic analysis parameters and are called static parameters. By default, “Use chart parameters” is turned on, while “Use alert parameters from chart” is off. Like most default settings also these default values can be changed in the configuration file.

Whenever using a tool in any chart and adjusting a parameter, the changes are saved in static variables. You should know that every time you change a parameter, such static variables are overwritten, and also when you use a tool multiple times, your last change will be saved.

When loading an indicator in AA that has not been added to a chart already, the AA window will pop-up some errors as the parameters are not available in static variables. Just ignore these messages and turn off “Use chart parameters” or add the indicator to a chart.
